The shopping centre MERCADEN®DORSTEN has been opened after almost two years of construction time in Dorsten on 3 March 2016 in a joint venture project of hkm Management AG and OFB project development Limited. Located in the heart of Dorsten the shopping centre offers customers an exciting mix of leading national and international brands and local retailers.
Providing a great range of convenience and lifestyle shopping plus a wide variety of restaurants and cafés, MERCADEN®DORSTEN includes major tenants such as Müller, Kaufland, Fashionstore S1 or Depot. Food specialist Kaufland with 4,000 sqm, Müller with about 1,800 sqm an S1 with more than 1,500 sqm currently are the largest tenants.
The joint venture project of hkm and OFB project development Limited has a retail floor area of around 12,500 sqm and offers spacious parking for 420 vehicles. The MERCADEN® brand represents the idea of “expanding the inner city”: like a market, MERCADEN® centres integrate themselves into the existing structures both architecturally and conceptually.
